Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel

  • I recently stayed at saratoga springs and I saw someone walking thier dog. Is it different rules for vacation members? Also can you have your pets with you in the "cabins" at Fort Wilderness>

  • Hi Jason,

Thanks for your question about pets at Walt Disney World.

Rules are the same for DVC members and non-DVC members regarding pets on Disney property.  With the exception of service animals accompanying guests with disabilities, animals are not permitted in the Disney theme parks or at the hotels, which would include Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground.

My guess is that the person you saw walking his or her dog at Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa had probably just arrived after a long drive and was allowing the dog to stretch its legs before taking it over the the Best Friends Pet Care Facility.  That's an amazing new place where beloved pets can be pampered while their owners experience all that Walt Disney World has to offer.
