  • We're new to the pin trading experience. How do we get started?

  • Hi Ellen!

Pin Trading is one of my families 'must do's' while vacationing at Disney Parks!  Its so easy to get started too!  You can simply pick up a starter set - which includes the lanyard and usually four or five starter Disney pins for approximately $29.95 - $49.95. Prices depend on which print and characters you choose.  You also can purchase just the lanyard, pins, books, or even a cross body bag which is a great collection carrying option.  The pins range from $6.95 - $13.95 and the lanyards start at around $9.95.  If you want to get started right away, you can pick up these items as soon as you hit your Disney Resort gift shop during check-in!

At all of the Disney Parks you will find multiple kiosks and shops loaded with pin trading merchandise.  EPCOT is pin trading central and you will see lots of other guests with their pin collections ready and willing to show, and trade with you!  I have found these guests to be very friendly and patient!  Check out Pin Traders and Mouse Gears for the best pins at EPCOT. Another hot spot is the World of Disney Store in Downtown Disney.  Here they host pin trading parties where you can find rare pins!  Hours vary for this event, check with the store before you dine and shop!

Be sure to check out the pin tack board at your Disney Resort main gift shop which holds hundreds of pins for your searching and trading!

    Happy hunting!
