Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel

  • My kids & I love pin trading! Every visit I get them a pin with the year on it. This year our trip dates are 12/28-1/8/13.I would like to make sure they get a 2012 & 2013 pin. When does Disney usually transition their pins from one year to the next

  • I have the same tradition with my children, Jacqueline.  We visited Disney during the holidays in 2010, and like yours, our trip did span two calendar years.  Here's the bad news: we were totally unable to find 2010 pins.  We scoured every single pin location and asked around but 2010 pins were nowhere to be found.  I fear that the same will be true for your 2012 pins in December, especially given how late in the year your trip occurs.  We settled for a New Years Eve 2010 pin and bought the traditional 2011 pin.  We had hoped for a traditional 2010 pin as well.  You could always opt for a specialized New Years pin.  If it were me, I wouldn't have high hopes for finding a traditional 2012 pin, but rather--if you have your heart set on one--purchase one online and bring it along with you just to be safe.  I hope that helps!
