Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel
- We are coming to Disney in November 2013. To help save money We planned on purchasing multiple Disney gift cards. When we get to our Disney resort can we load all of our gift cards onto our World Card (room key)?

- Hello Samantha!
Disney Gift Cards are a great way to budget for your vacation, but cannot be added to your Key To The World Card. You can, however, use the them to pay any room charges that you have made with your Key To The World Card.
Here's how it works, when you check-in you will need to add a credit card in order to allow room charges to your Key To The World Card. The charges that you make on your Key To The World card will not be settled out until you check out, so the charges will not be submitted to your credit card. When you are ready to check out, just use your Disney Gift Cards to pay for the room charges that you
have made during your stay instead of charging to the credit card that has been kept on file.
I will keep my Disney gift cards in my room safe and usually once a day make a quick stop to pay my room charges. You do not have to do this everyday, but I do recommend settling out charges at least once before your check out day. One reason I recommend doing it this way it that different resort categories will have a charging "limit" and once you hit that limit you will have to settle out your charges in order to keep charging on your Key To The World card, for value resorts it's $500, moderate resorts it's $1000 and deluxe resorts is $1500.If you think you might come close to those amounts, I suggest settling charges to keep from hitting that limit during your vacation. If you plan on using Express Check-Out make sure to settle out all of your room charges by midnight on the day before you check-out. Since the Express Check-Out doesn't require you to stop at the front desk on your way home, any charges made to your Key To The World Card will be charged to your credit card on file just after midnight on your check out day.
I hope this helps and please let us know if you have any more questions!
