Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel

  • How far in advance should one start planning a trip to WDW?

  • It's really never to early, as it takes alot of planning.  If you make your reservations through the Walt Disney Web Site, you can price out your trip.  Now, here's what I do, and it helps us so much, when you make a reservation it is either by package or by room.  The rooms can vary in price on certain days, for example Friday, Saturday and Sunday, it may be higher than Monday through Thursday.  When you book room only the site requires a deposit of one night's stay.  If you make a reservation for a full package it's around $200.00.  Now, keep with me..I make my reservations a year in advance, so then I pay it off monthly.  I would just take $50.00 out of each pay check until its paid off.  There is no interest accrual, and Disney will send you receipts in the mail, so you can send a check monthly if you want.  Its kind of like a vacation savings account, only when you go on vacation, its totally paid.  Remember, it must be paid in full 45 days prior to arrival.  If you buy room only, check with your company, they may have discounted tickets for Disney World.  Good luck, if you need any more help...just ask!!!  Heather M.
