Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel
- Arriving ~3pm on Oct 20th at POFQ. No parks or ADRs day 1 so looking for suggestions for QS meal for plain/picky eaters and fun things to do. 4 adults, 5yo boy and a baby. Prefer to stay fairly close to resort but open to all ideas. Thanks!

- Hi Bethany!
Congratulations on your upcoming vacation! Arrival day is a great day to enjoy your resort! My family likes to swim, play in the arcade, browse the gift shop, and take in a great dinner. Port Orleans French Quarter offers a great pool with a gigantic sea serpent in the middle! You could also stroll over to the adjacent Port Orleans Riverside Resort and enjoy Ol' Man Island pool (inspired by Tom Sawyer) and the catch-and-release fishing hole featuring cane poles. My kids loved this! I think you will also be impressed at the Food Court available right on site at your Disney Resort- Riverside Mill Food Court.
If you would want to take in a table-service meal, you can take the boat ride from your resort via the Sassagoula River to Downtown Disney! There are so many wonderful and kid-friendly restaurants. I would check out T-REX and Rainforest Cafe, they both offer HUGE animatronic animals and an atmosphere like no other!
There is also a wide variety of Disney Dining Plan Quick-Service locations at Downtown Disney. I recommend Earl of Sandwich, and Wolfgang Puck Express!
