Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel

  • I am looking into booking a Disney World vacation for June 2015. I have a couple of questions...can I book now and pay on it each month rather than all up front? it worth it to upgrade from the value resorts and go up to the moderate resorts?

  • Hi Cameron!

Congratulations on deciding to take your first Walt Disney World vacation!  Planning a Disney Vacation can be almost as exciting as being there...well almost.  I'm glad to see that you are starting you planning so early, there is so much to do and see that it can get a bit overwhelming.  That's where we come in, so don't hesitate to ask us as many questions as you need, we are thrilled to help!
There are 2 types of reservations to consider for your vacation. A room only reservation can be  booked up to 499 days in advance.  A one night's deposit is required to hold the room and the balance is due upon check in.  A Magic Your Way Package,  includes your Disney Resort, Tickets & Disney Dining Plan.  Rates for packages in a new calendar year are typically released the summer prior.   If this trend continues, you should be able to book a package the summer of 2014.  If you really want to have a room reserved for particular dates, do a room only reservation and later convert it to a package.

A  little secret about booking a Magic Your Way Package is that you can make payments and better yet there is no charge for this service.  When booking your package, you will be required to make a deposit of $250 and you can pay the balance however you like.  All balances must be paid 45 days before check in. This is subject to change and check back as you get closer to booking your vacation.

Disney resorts are all so wonderfully themed, it's really hard to choose.  A couple of things to consider is your budget, how much time will you be spending at your resort and if you need certain amenities. Usually such little time is spent in your room at the resort, I recommend saving money and just go with a value resort. Have a great time planning your 1st Walt Disney World vacation and to please ask if you have any more questions.

    Best Wishes,
