Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel
- We are visiting WDW nov 30-dec7. Rumors have it the xmas parade is taped first weekend in Dec. If we are in MK that weekend & avoid main st will we still have access to the rides. Don't care about watching the taping.

- Hi Deborah!
Yes, typically the Walt Disney World Christmas Parade is taped during the first weekend of December. I have been in the Magic Kingdom at least four years before when the Christmas Parade was being taped and I can tell you that the rides and attractions in Magic Kingdom were still all open. It is a little more difficult to make your way down Main Street USA during the taping, but it is not impossible because there are walking lanes that are keep open so that Guests can get down Main Street USA to the rides and attractions of Magic Kingdom. I typically walk through the Emporium and then through all the stores on the left side of Main Street USA (all of the stores are connected and exit through Casey's Corner). This is a great way to avoid the crowds on Main Street USA at any time of year!
I hope that your next Walt Disney World vacation is truly magical in every way!
