Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel
- What is the travel time from Animal Kingdom to Downtown Disney? Then from Downtown Disney to the Beach Club?
- - Asked by Bonnie from Ontario on 1/5/2011
- Thanks for the question, Bonnie! If you are driving from Disney's Animal Kingdom to Downtown Disney, it's a very quick ten to fifteen minute ride. The drive from Downtown Disney to Disney's Beach Club Resort is even shorter, probably five minutes.
If you are relying upon Disney's comfortable, convenient, and complimentary bus service between these destinations you need to add a bit more travel time. Normally, there is no direct bus between the Animal Kingdom theme park and Downtown Disney, so you should take a very quick bus ride from the Animal Kingdom theme park to Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge. There, transfer to a Downtown Disney bus. The whole process, from Disney's Animal Kingdom theme park to Downtown Disney could take as little as thirty minutes. However, if you happen to stroll up to the bus stop just as the bus you wanted is departing, you may have to wait twenty minutes or so before the next bus pulls up. This will definitely slow the process down. Allow yourself at least sixty minutes to complete this leg of your journey.
There is a direct bus from Downtown Disney to Disney's Beach Club Resort, therefore you will not need to transfer buses to reach your destination. This leg of the trip is very short. The bus may only take ten minutes from point A to point B. However, the Beach Club may not be the first stop to drop off guests. Often the Beach Club shares a Downtown Disney bus with Disney's Yacht Club Resort and Disney's Boardwalk Inn, so factor in ten to fifteen extra minutes in your calculations in case the Beach Club is the last stop.
Have fun shopping at Downtown Disney!
