Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel

  • I was told by a friend that you can get preferred seating for lunch at Be Our Guest. He said he found in on line but I can't seem to locate it. Any ideas?

  • Hi, Diana! I think the "preferred seating" to which he is referring is actually a FastPass+ option, and it's true that some Guests (including me and my family) have had this opportunity; however, we had to be "invited" to participate.  The FastPass+ system is currently in the testing phases, and things are changing almost daily, so while this is how it worked for us, things may change in the future.  We were already on-site for our vacation, when we received an email two days before the day we had chosen to visit the Magic Kingdom.  Through My Disney Experience and the ride and attraction FastPasses we had already selected, the system knew we would be in the Magic Kingdom that day and asked if we would like to test the FastPass experience for Be Our Guest. We jumped at the chance, and it was terrific! Now, I have no idea how or why we were chosen, so I can't tell you how to increase your odds.  I can, however, make one other suggestion.  Don't stress too much about getting the FastPass as the only way to eat there.  My family and I have dined there several times without the FastPass.  What works for us is to either go just as it is opening or about thirty minutes before lunch ends, and we have been able to get in without too much wait.  While you are waiting, be sure to listen to the suits of armor talking and take in the amazing architecture of the building.  You will not be bored.  Happy planning and have a Magical vacation!
