Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel

  • We are making our first trip to Disney in January and are planning on the Wishes show at 8pm on our last night. We're not really sure about the desert party but possibly interested in just eating dinner at Tommorrowland Terrace. Can we still see the show?

  • Hi Amy,

The Tomorrowland Terrace Dessert Party is a real treat! In my opinion, it's certainly worth the extra cost for delectable desserts and a wonderful reserved spot for viewing the fireworks. You even get a decent view of Main Street Electrical Parade if it's running that night.

Tomorrowland Terrace is generally only open seasonally, and I can't imagine it would be open during your vacation. Even if it were open, the seating area is covered, so I don't think you would get a great view of the fireworks from that location.

There are some tables outside Main Street Ice Cream Parlor that would make an excellent viewing location. I suspect they fill up rather quickly, and guests probably scout out those spots long before the fireworks start. But if you're lucky enough to grab one, I would get a quick service meal to enjoy there, and then grab some ice cream for dessert.

Hope this helps. Have a magical vacation!
