Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel

  • Help! I made online reservations but did not include baby since she will not order a meal. Today, I called for a reservation & was told I had to include baby. We couldn't modified all reservations. Do you think we will be seated if we show-up w/bab

  • Hi Jennifer,

I absolutely love hearing from parents who have decided to take their infants to Walt Disney World. Not only are there so many sensory experiences for infants to enjoy, but you'll be making some tremendous memories of your own. My wife and I took each of our children to Walt Disney World before their first birthdays and it was one of the best decisions we ever made.

As for your question - I've been there before!

The great thing about your situation is that you realized what happened before you left for vacation. That being said, can you guess where I was when I realized that I forgot to include our baby in the reservation headcount?

For the reservations that you couldn't modify, my advice would be to call one more time before you leave home in the event there are some last-minute cancellations. If that doesn't work, just plan to arrive at the restaurant early so you can ask if they'll hook you up.

(I'm sure the sight of a cute baby in your arms will make it hard to resist!)

Here's a little tip from your buddy Derek:

If your little one gets fussy during the meal, feel free to ask the cast member serving you if he/she can hold one of the entrees for a few minutes so one of you can take the baby for a quick walk. Since Walt Disney World is a vacation destination that accommodates so many families, this is actually a very common request.

It may not be ideal to eat that way, but it will certainly make it easier for everyone in your group to enjoy their meals if they're not eating cold food because a quick walk was needed.

I hope that helps! Please feel free to write back if you'd like any other tips for taking an infant to Walt Disney World and I'll be happy to help in any way that I can.

    Best regards,
