Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel

  • Hi we are staying at the Poly in November and one morning we have BBB reservations for our daughter at Downtown Disney at 9am. Will we be able to get to there using Disney Transportation that early, do not want to be late for the reservation.

  • Hi Brandon!

Congratulations on your upcoming vacation to Walt Disney World, not too much longer to go now!  As one of the original Walt Disney World resorts, Disney's Polynesian resort is one of my favorites.  It doesn't hurt that it is home to the self serve Dole Whip machine located at Captain Cook's Snack Company. ;-)

Buses to Downtown Disney typically start running at 8:30 am, the only drawback is that Disney's Polynesian Resort will sometimes share buses with Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa and possibly Disney's Wilderness Lodge.  It really will depend on the time of year and expected crowd levels if the buses will indeed share routes, but it is a possibility that could effect your travel time.  While you could possibly arrive with a few minutes to spare using Disney Transportation, I would suggest taking a taxi in order to give you plenty of time to reach your destination.  Taxis can easily be found at your resort or a cast member can easily arrange one for you, the ride will typically cost between $15-$20 one way.

I hope this helps, Brandon and please let me know if you have anymore questions!

    Have a magical vacation!
