Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel
- Hello Moms Panel!
Would like to know your choice for favorite Value Resort and why? My ds, 11 and I are planning a trip for this Thanksgiving. Thank you!

- Hi Jennifer,
I'm happy to be able to offer advice on the Walt Disney World value resorts. My family frequently stays in a value resort. Most often, we choose Pop Century, and I think it would be a great option for you and your son. Don't let the "value" title fool you. All the Disney resorts offer great theming and the Disney level of service.
You'll find a nice food court, an arcade and three pools including the '60s themed Hippy Dippy Pool. One plus is that Pop doesn't share buses with other resorts. The longest ride to a theme park is about 20 minutes.
The '50s section is our favorite for theme and location, but this is a moderately sized resort, so no room is a super long walk from Classic Hall, home of the food court, shops and bus station.
You also might want to consider the All-Star Sports resort. It's our second choice for values. The three All-Star resorts sometimes share a bus, and the thing we like about Sports is that the bus stops there first both for pick-up and drop-off.
Sports often is the least expensive value resort, too, by a few dollars a night.
One note: the food court at All-Star Sports is closed for renovation. Grab and go items are available, but if you want made-to-order food, you have to catch the shuttle or walk to All-Star Movies or All-Star Music.
I think you and your son can have a great Thanksgiving visit at either resorts. I recommend you make your reservation as soon as possible. Thanksgiving is a popular week, so rooms may sell out, especially at the more modestly priced resorts.
Please let me know if I can answer any other questions for you. My family is spending Thanksgiving week at Walt Disney World, too, and we can't wait!
