Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel

  • Hi moms! We are taking our daughter to WDW in august. We have character dining at beach club in the morning, then heading to MK, then over to the GF for dinner. After breakfast can we drive over to GF, leave our car there all day until we return for dinner

  • Hi Brianna,

It sounds like you have a fun day planned for August!

The parking lots at Disney's resorts, like the Grand Floridian, are not large enough to accommodate guests who are not registered at the resort for long periods of time.  If you have advanced dining reservations at a resort, the friendly Cast Member at the welcome hut at that resort will gladly offer you a three hour parking pass to park there during your meal.  However, you must be registered at the Grand Floridian to park there longer than that.

Here's what I suggest instead:  After breakfast at the Cape May Cafe in Disney's Beach Club Resort, drive to the parking lot designated for the Magic Kingdom.  Parking there is free for all Disney resort guests.  Then hop on the monorail or ferry boat over to the Magic Kingdom.  Forty-five minutes before your dining reservation at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort, board the resort monorail or a resort boat and disembark at your destination.  Then, after dinner, you can board the monorail again.  This time disembark at the Ticket & Transportation Center, where a shuttle will take you to your parked car.

Let us know if you have any other questions with which we can help you!
