Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel

  • Eek. I thought check-in was 11:00, so we'll be at BLT super early. It may be chilly by the pool Mar 4. Can you suggest another place my 3 and 6 yr olds can relax before our room is ready?

  • Hi Jill!

Thanks for visiting the Moms Panel!  Although you will be arriving before the check in time, you will have no problem finding lots to do!

Since you are staying at Bay Lake Tower, you have the added convenience of the monorail transportation.  You can board the monorail and visit the Polynesian and grab brunch at O'Hana, and at Grand Floridian's 1900 Park Fare, or visit the Contemporary for lunch at Chef Mickey's.

All of the restaurants I mentioned are highly coveted, so make sure to get a reservation now.  You can call 407-WDW-DINE or book online here

Since you are arriving early, a breakfast or lunch reservation will be easier to secure than dinner also.  The characters are subject to change, but usually at Chef Mickey's it is Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Donald, and Goofy at this location.  1900 Park Fare has Mary Poppins, Alice in Wonderland, The Mad Hatter, Eeyore, Tigger, and Winnie the Pooh.  1900 Park Fare and Chef Mickey's are buffets.  O'Hana is a family-style sit down meal and characters here are Lilo, Stitch, and some of Mickey's friends.   1900 Park Fare and O'Hana  take breakfast reservations until 11:15 am, no lunch.  Chef Mickey's offers breakfast and lunch buffets!

If your little ones are just to tired, I would suggest checking out Community Hall at Bay Lake Tower which is located on the ground floor.  Here they offer board and video games, puzzles, and DVD's.  This may be the stop for you before or after lunch!
