  • Hi Dawn,

What a big trip you have planned and it's right around the corner!

First, make some Advance Dining Reservations (ADRs) so that you have a place to  eat without worrying about finding a table. This is especially true on Christmas Day. Also, look at the resorts near the park you are touring to dine. It is a great way to get out of the crowds and see some resort holiday magic.

Next, you need to plan your days or at least know which park you are visiting. If it is a dream to be at Magic Kingdom on Christmas Day, you will need to be there at opening. Any park is going to be crowded. If you are staying at a Walt Disney World Resort, consider doing the Extra Magic Hours to see more of the park with fewer guests. Use the FastPass program so you can reserve times at popular attractions while you tour another.

Ask each person in your party to pick three daily must do's and make sure you do at least those. This is what will make the trip memorable to you when you ride that attraction that you have to ride. Some popular holiday attractions are Holidays Around the World in Epcot's World Showcase, The Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing LIghts in Disney's Hollywood Studios and Wishes in Magic Kingdom. A visit to the Grand Floridian to see the giant gingerbread house might also be popular.

I would also skip paying for anything extra other than maybe a dinner show as there is so much to explore in the main parks.

    Wishing you a magical vacation!
