Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel
- My DD8 is only 60 pounds, but 53". We''d love to do the pony ride, since she is too young for the Trail Ride Some posts mention a height maximum, which she exceeds. Is this a current requirement or no longer in force, since it isn't consistently ment

- Hi Laura. Thanks for stopping by the Moms Panel with your question! I'm so glad you found us!
Unfortunately, you are correct. There is a height requirement for the pony rides at Fort Wilderness. The official policy states that in order to ride, little cowboys and cowgirls "must be less than 80 pounds, under 48" tall, and able to hold on by themselves."
As a matter of fact, I remember seeing a sign with the height and weight restrictions posted near the entry last time we visited. You could always call Tri-Circle D Ranch directly to discuss your unique situation. The direct number is 407-824-2832.
I hope I have been able to help! Please let me know if you have any more questions!
