- Hi Tizzy!
How wonderful to be planning such an exciting vacation to Walt Disney World!
Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party is absolutely fabulous, so, in keeping with that theme, why don't you all go as the incomparable "FAB FIVE" - Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Donald, and Pluto!!??!! If preferred, you could swap one of the characters out for Daisy or another favorite.
To keep it simple, you could just leave a little extra space in your luggage, and purchase your Disney Character specific gear once you arrive at Walt Disney World. A simple t-shirt and hat representing your favorite character would do just fine. You will have some great choices in the shops at the Parks and Resorts. And, the icing on the cake here is that you have some "fabulous" souvenEARS to take home with you!
Now, if you really want to get creative, like my Walt Disney World Moms Panel friend, Lynn L. did last year, you could pack some "all white" outfits, along with some white costume make-up, and go as the "Hitchhiking Ghosts" from the Haunted Mansion. Or, why not represent some of your favorite Disney Characters from the U.K., such as characters from Mary Poppins, Peter Pan, or Winnie the Pooh?
There are some great ideas from Disney's Family Fun Magazine every year for homemade costumes. You can also check the Disney Store online for some great ideas, or if you choose to order costumes ahead of time.
I hope this helps you get started as you make your choices. Have a SPOOKtacular time!
