Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel
- I am planning on traveling to WDW with my 2 year old in August, 2008. I was wondering if there were things for her at Epcot, Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom, or should we plan to stay in mostly just the Magic Kingdom. Thanks!

- Hi Sherry - No doubt your daughter will enjoy all the fantasy that comes alive in the Magic Kingdom, but there is plenty to do in the other parks.
My 2 yr old loves Hollywood Studios. My family's favorite show is Playhouse Disney - Live on Stage. Tots and the parents sit on a carpeted floor while they watch a live show with all their favorite morning Disney Channel characters. A brand new show is starting in February and will feature stories from shows like Little Einsteins and Handy Manny. There is also a meet and greet right outside the show with Playhouse Characters.
In Animal Kingdom, your daughter will enjoy the carnival atmosphere of DinoLand USA. They have a Dumbo-like ride and a great playground called the Boneyard. If you take the Train to Refiki's Planet Watch, you can make some new goat friends in a really nice petting zoo.
Epcot has a very toddler friendly ride called "Journey into Imagination with Figment". It is very colorful and has a great soundtrack. There are periods of darkness on the ride, but they are very short. I used this ride to see how my daughter would do. Once I saw she wasn't too anxious with the darkness, I felt better bringing her on slightly scarier rides throughout WDW.
