  • Hi, Amy!

What a wonderful treat for your daughter's special day, Amy!

To treat your son, have you considered booking a Walt Disney World Special Tour? My 12-year-old and I just completed the Wild Africa Trek and loved every minute of it! I'm sure both kids would enjoy it  but you could assure your son that this was booked as his special treat.

Similarly, you could try Sammy Duvall's - Parasailing (also a mother-son adventure for us this past spring). It was a very chilly week in FL, so we just wore our jackets and long pants and enjoyed the spectacular view.

Another great treat might be to take a ride on Characters in Flight ...Operated by Aerophile over at Downtown Disney. Let your son pick the restaurant, and pair the flight with a great meal and a visit to the Lego Imagination Center, and you've got a great day in store for all. You could also treat the gang to some fun at DisneyQuest Indoor Interactive Theme Park or Splitsville Luxury Lanes, both of which are located at Downtown Disney as well.

These are just a few ideas, Amy, to help you plan a nice treat for your son in addition to the birthday girl. Send more questions as you think of them, or if you'd like more ideas; we love to help!

(Be sure to wish your birthday girl a very magical birthday from all of us on the Moms Panel, too!)
