Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel

  • Can you celebrate a birthday at Disney the week before your birthdayday? Do you still get the birthday treatment ? Could you tell me if Disney does anything special for a 5th birthday?

  • If you are celebrating your birthday, then Disney is celebrating your birthday.

The first thing you should do when celebrating a birthday at Disney World is get a free "Today is My Birthday" button at the Guest Services offices at any of the theme parks (also available at some hotels and ticket windows). Cast members and other guests will give you an extra smile on your special day. You should also tell the front desk of your hotel that you have a birthday in your group. While not guaranteed, this will often result in a small balloon bouquet or card being left in the room. Also tell your servers in any table service meals you might have. Again not guaranteed, but birthday celebrants often get a free cupcake.

If you would like to arrange for a special gift, you can contact the Disney Florist and Gift Basket Department at 407-827-3505 or They could make up a lovely 5th birthday gift for your special someone.
