Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel

  • Hi Mom's, we will be visiting WDW Sept. 18-25 2008.(153 day's to go! )Myself DH, DS 21, DS2, 11 and Princess 6. My 11 yr old loves Star Wars. We just missed it last spring. Is there any chance they will have it again in the fall?.

  • Traci,

I hate to say it, but alas the answer is no.  Star Wars Weekends is a special event that only takes place in the summer (June in 2008).  However, your son can enjoy the Star Tours ride in Hollywood Studios, and he even be able to attend the Jedi Training Academy.

One special event that will be going on while you visit Disney is Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party, which I highly recommend.  Your son can even don his favorite Star Wars costume - and there's a chance he'll see some of his friends (or enemies!) lurking about as well.

It looks like you will just miss the Food & Wine Festival in Epcot, slated to begin on September 26 this year.  However, if you get the chance I'd still pop in to Epcot on your departure day. In years past we've found many of the countries had their booths open a day or two early, so you may be able to get a small taste (literally!) of what they have to offer.

    Have a great vacation!
