Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel

  • Should I purchase tickets for Characters in Flight at Downtown Disney in advance or is it ok to purchase them the day I am visiting this area af Disney?
  • - Asked by Sandra from New Hampshire on 1/5/2010
  • Hey Sandra,

Characters in Flight is way cool!!!  They do not sell advance tickets because they can only fly when weather permits.  The weather also dictates the number of people allowed in the gondola during a flight.  You'll purchase your tickets and wait in line until its your turn to board.  I'd recommend getting there early as the lines can get long fast but its worth the wait.

You can see more details including current hours of operation and some cool aerial shots by clicking here.

I'd also recommend doing a day flight and a night flight as they are two different experiences.  And if you're lucky enough for your night flight to be timed just right, you might even catch a glimpse of the fireworks.

Be sure you take your camera and binoculars.  Have an awesome flight!
