Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel
My daughters high school varsity cheer team will be coming to ESPN Wide World of Sports 2/8/14 for the UCA competition. This will be the first time this team has traveled to this event. Can you share any tips etc.. that would be helpful?

- Hi Becca!
You will LOVE the competition venues at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex! The entire property is immaculate and just gorgeous! I usually travel for tournaments in February too and can offer several tips! First, I would stay on property at Walt Disney World. You cannot beat the free transportation to the theme parks, and to the competition! All of the Disney Resorts have fabulous dining on site and offer Food Courts with a wide variety of foods, in-room pizza delivery, and the moderate resorts also offer a table-service restaurant. You will have the added amenities of beautiful pools, arcades, and gift shops, so you really don't need to leave the resort!
At ESPN Wide World of Sports I would recommend checking out the ESPN Grill for lunch or dinner, and also stopping by the custom t-shirt shop inside! Your daughter will love being able to pick out a shirt and have anything she wants put on it .
Your team has the option to pre-order boxed lunches and have them delivered right to the them during the event. This can be set up by your team mom or team manager, and they will get information and menus at registration.
The best part about a competition at ESPN Wide World of Sports is the location! Be sure to carve out time for the girls to also enjoy the Walt Disney World theme parks. I suggest adding days before or after the event in order to maximize your time. And you will be able to get the additional resort days at a discounted price with your competition package!
