Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel
- We are hoping to sail next spring with Disney. We will have 4 kids by then, youngest being between 11-15 weeks old. Are we all able to stay 1 room? The baby will co-sleep and we planned the other 3 on sharing the couch bed. Is this possible?

- Hi, Stephanie!
Congratulations on considering a Disney cruise for your family's vacation -- it's a great investment in your family's memories!
I have four children, and over the years, we've had some fairly creative plans for trying to keep everyone happy on vacation yet attempting to keep costs down, too. On a cruise, however, every guest is accounted for...even down to the tiniest cruisers. In fact, I want to make sure you know that your baby-to-be will have to be 12 weeks old by your sail date in order to be allowed to board. Therefore, I would make sure that you leave lots of wiggle room when you book, and you may even consider booking an extra month out to be on the safe side.
Although each of your children may have a different cruise fare because of their ages, even the baby is included in the price since transportation, services and safety must be considered for every person on board. There are staterooms which sleep five and suites which sleep more, but the most cost-efficient option for a family of six is connecting staterooms. Plus, it's great to have the ability to close off one room so that little ones can nap while siblings watch a movie, or you can put everyone to bed in one room while you and your husband enjoy room service next door. Also, it really would be impossible for three children to sleep on one sofa bed. Disney's staterooms are larger than the industry standard, but they are much smaller than a hotel room. It just wouldn't be much of a vacation for you to have that many people in such a small space. (I cringe thinking about it!)
I hope this helps you plan and gives you some ideas of how to proceed. If you have more pointed questions, I'd love to help. I'm definitely a mom who has experienced what you're going through. Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation. Bon voyage!
