- Hi Catharina,
Thank you for your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Memory Maker is a wonderful feature! Memory Maker is a new digital imaging product that provides Guests the opportunity to capture their vacation memories with everyone in the picture at hundreds of Disney PhotoPass locations throughout the Walt Disney World Resort, including iconic locations, character greeting locations, select attractions, and select Character Dining experiences.
You won't need to worry about carrying around a camera in the park, there are Disney PhotoPass Photographers who are throughout the park ready to take pictures of your trip for you. You get all the photos of everyone in your travel party taken by the Disney PhotoPass Photographers. Then you can log into your account and view them online and also order prints of the ones you love.
If you stay at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel you will get a confirmation number that you will link to your reservation in your My Disney Experience account. (Your MagicBands are mailed to you 10-30 days before your trip.) Then you would scan your MagicBand with the photographers to have your photos sent to your account, then you download them. The MagicBands will have all of your trip information linked to them, so you won't need to worry about carrying around things like room keys and tickets.
If you are not staying at a Disney Resort, you will get a Memory Maker card that you will use to scan with the photographers. The photos would still go to your online account where you can download them.
I hope this helps you. Please write us back if you need help planning your next magical vacation to the Disney Parks.
Wishing you magic!
