Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel

  • I am planning a trip in February and I have an annual Premium Pass for Disneyland. Can I use it to go to Disney World?
  • - Asked by Tammy from California on 1/3/2013
  • Hi there Tammy,

As someone who frequently visits both Walt Disney World AND Disneyland, I am happy to help you with your annual pass question!  Unfortunately, your Disneyland Annual Pass is only good at Disneyland and will not grant you admission to Walt Disney World.

The good news is that there's an option to fit the needs of those, like you, who visit the Disney Parks on both coasts.  The Disney Premier Passport is valid for admission to both Disneyland and Disney World and there's a good chance that it may come out cheaper for you to upgrade your Disneyland Annual Pass to a Premier Pass when you arrive at Walt Disney World, rather than pay out of pocket for park tickets.

The value of your Disneyland AP will be applied to the cost of the Premier Passport at the time of purchase, which in my case came out to be a better deal economically than purchasing our park, we still had the rest of the year to enjoy admission to the parks, so it was a no brainer.  To top that, you still get those great AP holder discounts which, with the Premier Pass, are good at both locations!

Last year, I upgraded from a Disneyland AP to the Premier Passport and it worked so well for us, that we just purchased our Premier Passports for another year!  It has been the best decision, because they paid for themselves within the first few visits!

Be sure to write back with a followup if I can clarify anything for you!

    Best Wishes,

    Amanda F.
