Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel

  • Hi, I am a SOCAL resident planning to go to Disneyland in New Year´s. Since I will be going again on February I was thinking of purchasing a SOCAL annual pass. Can I purchase a the annual pass at the park on new years and still be able to get in that

  • Greetings Lemya and thanks so much for the question!  I can't think of a better place to ring in 2014 than Disneyland.  While I do think purchasing an Annual Pass is a good idea since it seems you visit the parks frequently, you won't be able to use a Socal Annual Pass on New Year's, since both New Year's Eve and New Year's Day are both blocked out.  The first day a Socal pass will be good for admission in 2014 is gonna be on January 5th.

Since you'll definitely be visiting on January 1st and then again in February, it may be worthwhile for you to consider the Deluxe Annual Pass which is not blocked out on New Year's Day.  The Deluxe Annual Pass is priced at $499.00 (just about $150. more than the Socal Annual Passport) so if you consider a 1-Day Park Hopper is $137.00, you may find it worthwhile to go ahead and purchase that Deluxe Annual Pass rather.  This pass is valid 315 days a year versus only 215 valid days with the Socal Annual Pass.  Since you are a California resident, you'll also be able to take advantage of the convenient monthly payment plan.  All you'll need to do is pay a down payment at the time of purchase!

    Best Wishes,

    Amanda F.
