Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel

  • Congrats on making the panel. Very happy for you. Ok, what's your favorite Disneyland dessert and which character is your favorite for a picture?

  • Hi, Ari!

Thank you very much for the congratulations! I’m really excited to be a member of the Disney Parks Moms Panel this year!

My absolute favorite dessert at the Disneyland Resort is the Yule Log cake at Plaza Inn restaurant on Main Street. It’s an indulgent chocolate and cream swirl cake with a layer of ganache on the outside that’s styled to look like wood bark. It’s accented with frosting leaves, red and green sprinkles, a dusting of edible glitter, and a dollop of cream. However, since the Yule Log is a seasonal treat only available during the holidays, for the rest of the year my go-to spot when I’m craving a sweet treat is the Ghirardelli Soda Fountain and Chocolate Shop in Disney California Adventure Park, where every Guest is greeted with a piece of Ghirardelli Squares chocolate. My dessert of choice there is the Gold Rush, a sundae with freshly made hot fudge and melted peanut butter. Yum!

My favorite Disney Character is Snow White, so I love having my photo taken with her. On a trip to the Disneyland Resort last spring, we dined at Ariel’s Grotto and I had the pleasure of meeting her—along with many of her princess friends—during our meal. I snapped a precious photo of my little boy when he first laid eyes on Snow White, and it is one of my all-time favorites. He was clearly smitten with her!

Thanks for the questions, Ari! Please let me know if there’s anything else I can answer for you.

    Wishing you magic,
