is 3.5 yrs old to young for Disney?

    Hello Brittany,

As a mother of two, and grandmother of one, I say absolutely that 3 years old is not too young for a trip to the Walt Disney World Resort.  I started bringing my children when they were infants, but it does take some planning when traveling with young children.  Most importantly, stay on property at a Disney resort so that you can take advantage of all the perks, including free transportation to and from the theme parks.  You'll want to be able to travel freely back to your resort for those nap times that will be needed in the afternoons.  Book a character meal so that you can capture precious photos of your child with Mickey Mouse and all of his friends.  Disney has a special section on their site for advice on traveling with preschoolers.  My fellow Moms panelists have also provided excellent tips which you will find helpful.

I highly recommend purchasing Memory Maker to capture all of the magical moments of your trip for memories that will last a lifetime.  And a final bit of advice; try not to travel during the busier times at the Walt Disney World Resort.  Summer will be very hot and crowded and makes for cranky children, and the crowds during the holidays can be overwhelming.  Winter, spring or fall are the optimal times for a Disney vacation.

Now that I've given you some food for thought on traveling with your little one, don't forget to come back and visit us as you plan that fantastic vacation!

    Be Magical,
