    Robert from PA Asked

I am 65 yrs old, do I have to carry ID to purchase an alcoholic trick?

Hi Robert! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

Bartenders, servers, and the Grey Goose Slush kiosk cashier in Epcot are supposed to ask to see an ID every time a guest who looks within a certain range of being legal purchases a drink. The majority times, however, where a guest is visibly of age, or in my case visibly tired enough and still using 90's slang to give her age away, identification is usually not asked to be presented. It does, however, depend on the watering hole.

One of the tips I've picked up since the introduction of MagicBands is to take a photo with my phone of the front and back of my photo ID, as well as my park tickets, to have as a back up just-in-case. I absolutely love that with MagicBands I can leave a purse, backpack, or wallet behind and go have fun with one piece of wearable technology. But there are for sure moments when a MagicBand needs a little backup, like when you need to present an ID to buy a drink, or you get locked out of your room, or you lose your MagicBand. In these instances a good to high quality picture of your ID on your phone will suffice.

Robert have you looked into the Complimentary Resort Transportation? One of my other favorite perks of a Walt Disney World Resort vacation is being able to imbibe and have someone else do the driving at no extra cost to my vacation budget. Buses and boats and monorails (oh my!) will get you home safely from all four theme parks, both water parks, Disney's BoardWalk as well as Disney Springs.

I hope you're already planning your snack stops and drink destinations, Robert, and We'll See You Real Soon!
