is my 3yrs old allowed to ride splash mountain at magic kingdom

    Hi Elizabeth,

Thanks so much for your question!  The restrictions on rides at Walt Disney World are based on height, and the rule for Splash Mountain at Magic Kingdom is that riders must be 40 inches or taller.  However, even if a child meets the height requirement, you'll want to be sure they're also ready for the thrills.  Splash Mountain is pretty tame until you get to the final plunge down a 5-story waterfall...and there's a good chance you're going to get wet!  Some kids will do just fine, but the experience could be too intense for other kids. Parents will know their child best, but if you’re not sure it might be helpful to watch a few sets of riders head over the waterfall with your child from the bridge area in front of Splash Mountain.

    Have a magical day!
