There will be a 4-yr old and 1-yr old traveling in my party to WDW in June. Is there a recommendation for a place in the Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom where one might bring a little one who is napping that is cooler and quieter for a bit of a break?

    Hi, there!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Karen. I'm so glad you stopped by!

It's going to be an Incredible Summer at the Walt Disney World Resort. Traveling with little ones is going to make your visit all the more magical! I have three little ones of my own, and when my family visits the theme parks, we start with early mornings and end with late evenings - an afternoon break is a MUST. We always return to our Resort hotel in the afternoon to swim and take an afternoon nap, but if that's not an option for you, I have a few other suggestions for cool and quiet places that are perfect for a break!

All four theme parks have a conveniently located Baby Care Center equipped with a changing room, kitchen, onsite shop, and living-room area with a sofa and chairs. The living-room area isn't private, but it is nicely air-conditioned and relatively quiet.

Indoor shows also make great spots for a little nap. The theaters are dark and cool, and little ones worn out from an adventure-filled morning are often lulled to sleep within minutes of the show starting. At Magic Kingdom Park, visit Walt Disney's Carousel of Progress or Country Bear Jamboree for a break. In Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park, get comfortable at Finding Nemo - The Musical or Festival of the Lion King.

When my little guy was 14-months old, he took a daily nap in the stroller while I strolled through stores in the theme parks! He was comfortable and cool, and I got a chance to pick out some great souvenirs. Win-win!

I hope this was helpful, Karen. Please visit us again soon with any new questions you may have!
