    Susan from TN Asked

I have a 4yr. old that I want to take to Disney World before she starts kindergarten. I want to go when the crowds are low but don't want it to be cold or rainy. What about late Feb. or early March before Spring Break starts? Temps? Dry vs. wet?

Hi Susan! One thing I have learned in my many years of heading down to Florida is that you just can't predict the weather!

Your timing idea of late February and early March will prove to be a good one in avoiding the spring break crowds. Weather wise it can still be a bit cool especially in the early mornings and evenings once the sun goes down. The humidity is definitely bearable at this time of year and although it is generally a dry time it can rain so thinking you might not have some showers would be wrong. It isn't the same as it is in the summer where you can almost gauge the time every day from the afternoon thunderstorms starting around 4 or 5pm!

This is definitely a time I would suggest to families. You would need to consider a light wrap for the times when the sun has not warmed the day when you start off to the parks in the morning.  Swimming would be best in the afternoons when it is the warmest. You can't avoid crowds at Walt Disney World but it is a good time to avoid the longest lines that some months will bring.
