Hi, My 7 yr old son and I will be visiting WDW (for 10 days) for 1st time in June - from Australia. Initially was looking at Pop Century due to budget, decor and transport. Have found Caribbean is only a little more expensive. Not sure now which to choose?

    Hi Nancy,

The Pop Century is a value level resort and the Caribbean Beach is a moderate level resort.

Both hotels are wonderful, but there are some differences. You'll find at the CB the rooms are larger than at the Pop and the beds themselves are bigger. There will be a coffee maker in the room at CB, but not the Pop. The CB has more dining options at the hotel itself. And the pools at the CB have more interactive features and water play areas than the Pop.

The themeing at the two hotels is also different. The Pop Century features candy-colored popular culture icons writ large. The CB is more subtle, with a pastel beach hut theme. Some people find one of these more appealing than the other.

Personally, I find the transportation situation to be slightly better at the Pop than the CB. The CB is a HUGE resort with multiple internal bus stops, whereas the Pop only has one stop.

You can make your choice based on price alone, or on amenities, based on your personal priorities.

Good luck with your planning. Please let us know if you have additional questions.
