    Tracy from MO Asked

My 4 yr old loves race cars. Is there a way to watch the Petty driving experience without actually driving in it? Do you need tickets to a park to watch? How can I find a schedule of times they race? Thanks!

Tracy, start your engines! I hope your little guy is ready for some excitement. Guests are allowed as spectators in the grandstands at Richard Petty Driving Experience. The hours of operation do vary depending on daylight hours, private events, or undesirable weather conditions. It is best to call ahead to be sure they are up and racing. I have done the Ride-Along Experience myself and I really enjoyed the experience. I never knew I had such a need for speed! They also offer Junior Ride-Alongs for children 6-13 who are at least 48" tall that your son can look forward to in just a couple years.

Since your son loves fast cars, I also would not miss the Lights, Motors, Action! Extreme Stunt Show at Disney's Hollywood Studios. Just listening to the engines roar put smiles on my boys’ faces! There is even a special appearance by Lightning McQueen himself!

Wishing an amazing and magical vacation for your little adventurer and the rest of your family!

Hi, I’m Rachel! I am a “boy mom” to two rowdy little men at home and married to my high school sweetheart. I am fortunate enough that my prince charming loves all things Disney just as much as I do! For me, planning a trip to Walt Disney World can be just as magical as being there. It brings our family together as we dream, plan, and count down the days. I would be honored to help plan your visit and share in your family’s very own magic! Learn More About Rachel
