Can 16 yr old daughter wear a Disney costume at Magic Kingdom? She is keeping some of the magic of childhood in her heart and really wants to wear a costume. Will Disney consider her an adult and thus no costume wearing?

    Hi Louise,

Unfortunately, guests over twelve years of age are only allowed to wear full costumes at Walt Disney World during special events such as Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party, and even then there are some restrictions.

I love that your daughter wants to participate in the fun. Perhaps she could wear some sort of partial costume like a tiara, special jewelry, or a flouncy skirt. Many of the Moms Panelists have toured the parks on regular days wearing tiaras and pink feather boas. This is fine. It's just the full costume that you need to worry about.

Good luck with your planning. Please let us know if you have additional questions.
