My 4yr old daughter loves meeting the characters but is not a big fan of the rides. Can you suggest other activities in the park that she might like?

Hi, Julie! Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question!

I also have a 4-year-old daughter and I am happy to tell you that there are numerous things in the parks that she adores beyond riding attractions. My first suggestion is to see some of the great shows that perform in the parks. Mickey and the Magical Map and Frozen - Live at the Hyperion are engrossing stage productions full of characters and songs that we all know and love. Another really fun show is Storytelling at Royal Theatre. Here, you can see quite funny and cute re-tellings of Beauty and the Beast and Tangled.

If your daughter likes to explore, then I recommend checking out Tarzan's Treehouse in Adventureland and the Pirate's Lair on Tom Sawyer Island. Sometimes kids this age like to set their pace and these two options let them do just that all while exploring some pretty neat surroundings. In Mickey's Toontown, your daughter can explore Donald's Boat, play around in Goofy's Playhouse, and climb up Chip n' Dale Treehouse. She can also meet Mickey and Minnie and walk through their houses.

Over in Disney California Adventure Park, plan to spend some time in the Disney Animation Building. In addition to meeting Anna, Elsa, Olaf, and Kristoff, she can attend Animation Academy and learn to draw a popular Disney character, discover the Sorcerer's Workshop, and participate in Turtle Talk with Crush which is an extremely fun and interactive show for kids. All of these experiences are housed in this one building so it is really convenient!

I'd love to give you more tips, so please visit us again!
