    Heather from LA Asked

Will my 4 and 5 yr old boys be ok or scared of Space mountain & Thunder Mountain? what would you recommend for fast passes for them?

    Hi Heather,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I know your boys must be so excited about coming to the Walt Disney World Resort!

Assuming you have checked the Magic Kingdom Attractions height requirements and your boys are tall enough to ride, I would advise you to check YouTube videos of the attractions before actually riding. We did this when our girls were 5-years old to see if they could handle the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror. Although they were tall enough, we decided against it. Later, we let them ride when they were 7-years old and I was glad we had made the decision not to let them ride at 5-years old.

If you decide against Space Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, I would suggest Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and the Barnstormer. Our girls loved those when they were about the same age as your boys. And I did not feel like they would come flying out of the seat at any moment! Be sure to check out the Planning for Pre-School Kids and Little Ones Guide. It will give you great planning ideas for your boys. I would also suggest a Fast Pass+ for Pirates of the Caribbean. The stand-by line can be fairly long at times.

They might also enjoy Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spins, Tomorrowland Speedway, Dumbo the Flying Elephant and the Magic Carpets of Aladdin.

Heather, your boys are the perfect age to make perfect memories!

Magic, memories and Minnie Mouse hugs,
