My 4yr daughter has Sturge-Weber a neurological disorder that causes seizures and at times limited mobility. If she is experiencing loss of her leg at the time of our visit can we take a stroller in line with us or will I need to hold her?

Hi Jessica! Here's what you can do to make your visit to the Walt Disney World Resort an enjoyable and magical experience for the entire family. Once you arrive on property, please stop at Guest Relations to ask for a Guest Assistance Card (GAC). Please explain that you are traveling with a special needs child. Be ready to explain your child's specific needs and describe what special accommodations are required. Explain you will need to use the stroller as a wheelchair. You will receive a tag that can be placed on your stroller to identify it as such. In addition, please specify the total number of people in your travel party. Guest Relations will issue a GAC too. The Cast Member will add different stamps to the GAC in order to alert attraction Cast Members as to the type of special assistance your child will require. The GAC will accommodate your daughter, and up to five other members of your travel party, by allowing access to alternate attraction entrances where available. You will be able to enter attractions through the same auxiliary entrances that wheelchairs and ECVs are allowed to use. Your child must be present when entering attractions. You won't be asked to provide proof of disability, so you won't need a doctor's letter in order to request a GAC. However, it is always wise to bring medical documentation to have handy in case of emergency. Please read HERE to learn more about the type of assistance guests with mobility issues may expect to receive at the Walt Disney World Resort. This is the year of making memories at Walt Disney World. May your family enjoy making many lasting memories together!
