I want to take my 3 years old to Disney World (Orlando) later this year. Our dates are flexible. What are the best days to visit, with less people so I don't spend time with her waiting in lines? Thanks

    Hi Paola,

Thank you so much for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. It is truly fun to travel to Walt Disney World with a preschooler. At this age, children have so much magic in their eyes and hearts, and it is a great time to explore with them!

You are smart to consider the best time to visit. Although there is never a time when Walt Disney World is empty, there are certainly times when it is less crowded. For the rest of this year, I think that September will be a good month to visit. If your main goal is to avoid too many other guests, the best bet is to stay away from times when children are typically out of school. Once children reach school age, many parents head to Walt Disney World during school vacations. Therefore summer sees more guests, as do times like Thanksgiving and Christmas. In September, since most children have just headed back to school, parents tend to not visit Walt Disney World at this time. If you can avoid Labor Day weekend, there may be slightly more people there since that is a holiday weekend. September also has nice weather, when it has cooled off a bit from the height of summer but is still warm. If September is not possible for you, avoiding holidays will help. As to days of the week to visit, if you are able to visit midweek, you will again likely find smaller crowds than during the weekends.

Regardless of when you decide to visit, do take advantage of Disney's FastPass+ system. Using this system, you can experience some attractions each day with a shorter wait time.

I hope that these thoughts are helpful for you, Paola! Have a wonderful time planning your vacation, and please do let us know if you have any further questions.
