It has been years since I have been to Disney World and my husband hasn't been since he was a toddler, so I am a little behind the times on what DW has to offer now. We have an 8 yo son and 4 yo daughter, is there any special MUST DO's for the kids?

    Hi Jessica -

Congrats on your first family trip to Walt Disney World! You will have a great time!

I'm not sure whether or not you are staying on property, but either way, you'll want to be sure to book any table service meals in advance. Given the ages of your kids, I'd recommend Chef Mickey's, 'Ohana, the Crystal Palace, and the Hollywood and Vine (especially if your 4 year old enjoys watching Disney Junior).

In terms of must-dos, here are a few in each park. There are lots of other things to do too, but these are the ones I'd say you should absolutely do with your kids.

    Magic Kingdom:
    Dumbo
    it's a small world
    Enchanted Tales with Belle
    Peter Pan's Flight
    The Barnstormer
    Pirates of the Caribbean

    Disney's Hollywood Studios:
Toy Story Mania (be sure to get a Fastpass for this)
    Disney Junior Live on Stage
    MuppetVision 3D
    Star Tours
If your son likes Star Wars, you'll also want do the Jedi Training Academy.

    Animal Kingdom:
    Kilimanjaro Safaris
    TriceraTop Spin

    Epcot:

    Gran Fiesta Tour
    Journey Into Imagination with Figment
The Seas with Nemo and Friends
    Turtle Talk With Crush

    Have a great time!
