My 9-year-old is deaf and uses ASL. I see that interpreters are assigned by park/day, so we are planning accordingly, but I'm having trouble planning Fast Passes because I don't know which shows/events are interpreted at which time. Ideas?

    Hi Amanda!

Thank you so much for stopping by with your question. I'm happy to help!

Walt Disney World Resort wants to make sure that all guests have the most magical experience possible when visiting, and they do a wonderful job providing Services for Guests with Hearing Disabilities. All four theme parks provide Sign Language Interpretation for live shows on a rotating basis:

    • Disney's Animal Kingdom Park: Tuesdays/Saturdays
    • Disney's Hollywood Studios: Sundays/Wednesdays
    • Epcot: Fridays
    • Magic Kingdom Park: Mondays/Thursdays
I'm happy to hear you're planning your vacation days around this schedule already! Specific performance information is available about one week in advance, so securing FastPass+ selections for these shows would be tricky. No need to worry! When you download a copy of the performance schedule, you'll see instructions for each attraction/show. In most cases, you'll simply need to see a host or hostess at the show entrance that will guide you to seats where you'll best be able to see the interpreter. The instructions also tell you how early you'll need to arrive at the show, and which entrance to use.

For more information regarding sign language services, you can call (407) 824-4321, or email WDPRsignlanguageservices@disney.com.

I hope this is helpful in your planning. Have a magical day! - Diane W.
