This is my 4 year old's first time going to Disney & he doesn't know we're going. I'm a single mom and this trip is stressing me out! We have 4 day hopper tickets but I'm so afraid we are going to miss something. Any suggestions to get most of our trip

    Hello Brittney!
I think it is very natural to feel a bit stressed out when planning your first trip. The first step is to breath! Breath, and know that you can't do it all so you will need to focus on your must-dos while allowing time in your plans for magical moments. For first timers, I recommend outlining a pretty clear plan for your trip. This would include which parks on which days, selecting your priorities in each park in regards to attractions and shows, and also making your FastPass+ selections as soon as possible. For some people, creating such a plan is part of the fun (count me in that group!). If you love to research and plan you can absolutely "do-it-yourself." In that case I would recommend picking up a couple different books. My first choice is "The Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World." This expansive resource tells you everything you need to know and includes sample itineraries. Another written resource I have enjoyed is "Passporter's, Walt Disney World."  However, if you do not have time for  in-depth research and I would recommend a subscription at touringplans.com.  This website is the online companion to "The Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World."  For a small subscription fee you can access some great pre-made itineraries or create personalized ones based on your individual needs and wants.

One thing I want to note is advanced dining reservations. If you would like a specific table service meal (especially one that includes Characters) I strongly recommend making an advanced reservation. You can see what is available during your stay on the Disney Dining Reservation page.

    See ya real soon!

Meet the Panelist: Anne, Iowa

I’m Anne, a native Iowan, wife, mother, and grandmother. For me, a major part of the fun of a Disney trip is the planning. I have traveled to the Disney Parks in multiple stages of my life, including as a daughter, sister, aunt, mother and grandmother. While I can’t pick my funniest Disney memory – either my 70-year-old mother on The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror or my 4-year-old grandson on Dinosaur – I am thrilled to be able to help other Disney guests plan their adventures.
