I have a 2.5 year old and 1 year old and I am trying to decide what stroller to bring. We have a front/back double stroller which is nice b/c the seats recline. But I am worried about it being big and bulky and hard to deal with. Any suggestions ?

I won't lie to you - it will definitely be big and bulky and hard to deal with...but not much more so than it is at home. And trust me, you will be *SO* glad you brought it!

My three daughters are each separated by about 2 years, and so for a while we actually traveled with both the front-back double AND a single stroller. It was stressful at times, but I never for a second regretted it. The kids really needed a comfortable padded seat, sun shade, and reclining seat, which we couldn't get in a hard plastic Disney rental stroller. And the storage basket underneath and the cupholders were invaluable. Even now that we have outgrown our stroller days, I often miss having one for its storage capacity!

I have also rented the double wide jogging strollers, and besides the aforementioned comfort and storage issues, they are also harder to navigate in the park because they require more of a gap in the crowd. And they're very expensive!

As for what to do to make it easier - first, be patient. If you're using Disney transportation, know that you have to have the stroller folded on the buses, so arrive in enough time to get the kids and your bags out, and have the stroller folded and ready to board. Your fellow passengers will be grateful! My husband usually dealt with the heavy lifting while I helped the kids, and the divide and conquer worked well. Second, buy a small strip of distinctive fabric and tie it onto the stroller handle. Sometimes cast members have to move strollers while you are in a show, and that will help you easily spot yours in a crowd. Third, plan on a thorough cleaning after you get home! I usually scrubbed ours down pretty well because it got a lot of love on vacation!

Hope that helps, and have a great trip!
