We have a 4 year old and we will be using the rider switch. I understand that only party one has to use their FP on the ride and party two can ride in FP line without using their FP. I think?

    Hi Bryon!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Using Rider Switch in conjunction with FastPass+ really helps to maximize your day and allow you to make the most out of the attractions at Walt Disney World Resort!

You are correct that when using Rider Switch, you'll only need FastPass+ for the first party that boards. You'll want to approach the queue together and let the Cast Member know that you plan on using Rider Switch. The Cast Member will scan the second parties MagicBands which grants an entitlement for that ride for Rider Switch. The second party can be a maximum of three individuals, so please keep this in mind and plan accordingly based on your party size. If the first party has a FastPass+, they'll enter and wait in the appropriate queue. Once they are done with the attraction, the second party will approach and the entitlement that was previously added to their MagicBand will work like a FastPass+ to enter the shorter queue as well!

I hope this helps in planning your upcoming vacation! Please come back and let us know if you have any other questions!
