Hi I have a 6 year old son and 4 year old daughter. My husband is a Military Veteran. What exactly are we eligible for, the links are a but vague as to exactly what we can do, where we can stay. I read to buy tickets at a military outlet but we dont have 1

    Hi Kristie!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Mine is also a military family and it was a bit confusing at first, but I'll help you figure out what is what so your family can have an amazing Walt Disney World Resort vacation!

Disney offers a really great U.S. Military Promotional Ticket, as well as special rates on Disney Resort Hotel rooms. Currently these offers are available those who are Active Duty, Reservists, or are Retirees of any U.S. Military branch, U.S. Coast Guard, National Guard, the Commissioned Corps of the Public Health Service, and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.

Retirees are usually those who have served for 20 (or more!) years, or are 100 percent medically disabled. There are always one-off situations, so your best bet would be to call Shades of Green, which is a Military-Owned resort hotel on Walt Disney World Resort property, who can answer any specific eligibility questions you may have. Their phone number is (407) 824-1403.

These tickets can be purchased in-person at any military installation/base ITT or MWR office. Shades of Green also sells these tickets in-person once you arrive in Orlando, but they also just started selling them in advance via email. And lastly, you can also purchase these tickets at any Disney Guest Relations location once you get to Walt Disney World Resort. (But try to buy them on a base or through Shades as they will be tax-free this way! And you'll be able to make FastPass+ reservations in advance vs. waiting to buy when you arrive.)

I hope this helped, Kristie, and We Hope to See You Real Soon!
