My 18 year old son and I will be visiting at the end of June. Unfortunately, we will only have 1 day available for Disney. I have been debating which park to visit or possibly a park hopper. Suggestions? We do move pretty fast together.

Hello, Angela! I am so excited that you and your son will be visiting the Disneyland Resort in just a few short months!

One day in the parks is certainly better than none and I have some tips to help you have the most magical day ever:

    • Purchase park hopper tickets so you can explore and enjoy the excitement in both parks.
    • Prior to your visit, research and make a list of your top "must do" attractions and other entertainment.
    • Start your day as early as possible. You can really see and do a lot in either park during the morning hours.
    • Take advantage of Disney FASTPASS Service as much as you can. If you start your day at Disney California Adventure Park, grab a FASTPASS for Radiator Springs Racers first thing in the morning. Pay close attention to the time listed on the ticket when you can pull your next FASTPASS.
    • Use the Disneyland app to scope out attraction wait times and FASTPASS return times. This will help you make efficient use of your day.
    • Use Single Rider lines to skip long queues at some of the larger attractions.
    • Perhaps make a dinner reservation at one of the signature dining locations like Blue Bayou Restaurant.
    • Take a moment, perhaps around dusk, to sit and soak in the splendor of the Disneyland Resort.
    • Finally, enjoy some of the nighttime entertainment like World of Color or the Main Street Electrical Parade and  "Remember...Dreams Come True" Fireworks Spectacular (on select nights).

I hope you have a memorable visit to the Disneyland Resort!
