My 5 year old son has decided he is scared of riding rides. When we went last summer he wouldnt ride hardly any rides! I told him we were going back in February and he started making a long (very long) list of rides he didn't want to ride! What do I do?!

If it were me, White, I wouldn't sweat it.  It sounds as though you have the opportunity to visit Walt Disney World on a relatively frequent basis.  If that is indeed the case, the last thing you want to do is leave your son intimidated.  And truly, it is understandable that he might be frightened of some attractions.  Take It's Tough to be a Bug at Animal Kingdom, for example.  I cannot imagine how I might have reacted to life-sized, shouting bugs and spiders falling from the ceiling when I was a child.  Rather than coerce him onto attractions that are a bit too mature for him, spend time taking in some of the more mild rides.  At five, my son absolutely loved The Boneyard at Animal Kingdom.  Likewise, pretty much all of Fantasyland is a safe bet as is Disney Junior - Live on Stage! at Hollywood Studios.  Those are but a few examples.  Because there are so many attractions that your son can (and likely will love) experiencing with confidence, I would focus my attention on those and allow him the opportunity to grow into the rest.  In the long run, that approach will likely bring both of you magical memories with many happy returns!
